Shortly after my husband and I retired from the military in 2010, we treated ourselves to a couple of ATVs as a gift to ourselves. I got a Arctic Cat XC 450 and my husband got a Honda 700xx. We spent a lot of time on the trails and were thankful that we had an ATV park so close to home. Jericho Mountain State Park is located in the White Mountains of Berlin, New Hampshire not far from where we live. The place was created for those who enjoy ATVing and the trails and scenery are incredible. It has been a good coping mechanism to help us transition from the military because we are able to escape Post Traumatic Stress and find joy, even if only temporary. It’s amazing what hanging out with friends and getting out in nature does for us. We do anything we can do to fight the isolation and are always grateful when we do.
